Software Engineer (Entry-Level) @ Tilt

Tilt is seeking a motivated Software Engineer that’s just starting their career to join our Engineering team. As a Software Engineer, you'll dive into real-world production code, gaining hands-on experience while learning from seasoned professionals. We welcome individuals who are enthusiastic about diving in, learning, and contributing to the enhancement of our infrastructure. This position is full-time and reports to the team Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Maintaining production code/infrastructure and troubleshooting production errors.
  2. Collaborating with senior engineers on software design, development, and maintenance.
  3. Learning core engineering concepts and applying them to solve technical challenges.
  4. Participating actively in team meetings, code reviews, and brainstorming sessions.

  1. Troubleshooting and debugging production issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  2. Owning individual tasks and actively seeking feedback to continuously improve.
  3. Communicating progress, blockers, and solutions effectively with team members.
  4. Committing to personal growth as an engineer by actively learning existing tools, resources, and processes.

You’re a great fit if:

  1. You have completed a degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering) or a reputable coding bootcamp.
  2. You have experience using Python/Django and TypeScript/React.
  3. You possess a strong desire to learn and develop as a software engineer.
  4. You're technically inclined, with hands-on experience or projects in software development.

Total Compensation:

The projected annual salary range is $100,000 - $120,000 USD plus stock options (ISOs), because we believe everyone should have some stake in our business. We are people-first and truly care about our employees.
