Civil Engineer Land Development

Oxford Solutions has a client seeking a Civil Engineer with a focus on land development projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing sediment traps and basins, stormwater management facilities, and non-structural Best Management Practices (BMPs) for groundwater recharge. Responsibilities

• Design and implement sediment traps and basins to manage soil erosion and sediment control during construction activities.
• Develop comprehensive stormwater management facilities to handle runoff, minimize flooding, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Design and incorporate non-structural BMPs to enhance groundwater recharge and promote sustainable water management.
• Work closely with project managers, other engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
• Prepare detailed reports, plans, and specifications for land development projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
• Stay current with local, state, and federal regulations related to land development, stormwater management, and environmental protection.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification is required. Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration is preferred but not mandatory.
• 1-5 years of related experience or internships in civil engineering with a focus on land development projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with team members and clients.
