Job Summary:
- Responsible for maintenance of entire hotel property including physical building, parking lots, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Develops and implements maintenance programs as needed, including negotiating contracts for the property, structure, grounds, and all equipment.
- Ensures all local, state, and national codes and regulations are met.
- Participates in the recruitment process by aiding in selecting successful candidates. Trains, develops, and promotes staff to ensure professional development of the team.
- Maintains a safe working environment for guests and colleagues. Runs and manages the Safety Committee for colleagues, proactively training and mitigating safety concerns. Ensures all emergency equipment and systems are inspected, tested, and certified per standards.
- Responds to guest requests and issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and quality of product.
Job Requirements:
- Certification/experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to understand and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring schematics.
- 5 or more years of related experience in the hospitality industry as Chief Engineer.
- Must have extensive knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, roofs, mechanical operations, energy management, and preventative maintenance programs.
