Ford Model E Infotainment Platform Team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our talented team of engineers in developing cutting edge multimedia experiences and integrating them seamlessly with the Android Automotive OS.
You will be expected to pivot quickly on new ideas. Failing fast will be normal.
You'll have...
- B.S. in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in linux based software development.
- 3+ years of experience of managing and leading engineering teams in the automotive or consumer electronics domain.
- 3+ years of experience with developing and integrating different multimedia domains like Audio, Video, Camera or Display.
- 3+ years experience on Android.

- M.S. in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.
- Experience negotiating with hardware and software vendors.
- Experience in Yocto Embedded Linux.

What you'll do...
- Lead, mentor and inspire a team of highly skilled software engineers specializing in multimedia frameworks, audio / video processing, camera and Android Automotive OS.
- Foster a collaborative and high performing team culture that embraces innovation and continuous improvement.
- Define and drive technical roadmap for infotainment multimedia features and integration aligning with overall product strategy and market trends.
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing and deployment.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet performance, reliability and scalability requirements.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and other stakeholders to define product specification and ensure successful execution.
- Champion engineering best practices, including code reviews, unit testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices, particularly in the areas of multimedia frameworks, automotive infotainment and Android development.
- Manage team performance, conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for professional growth and development.
