Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics!Job Summary:The Field Services Engineer I works under immediate supervision and uses established procedures to maximize product performance by supporting and resolving product issues quickly, efficiently and to customer satisfaction. The Field Services Engineer I also participates in engineering design review and testing of products, provides technical support and training for the end user at customer sites and ensures customer satisfaction.Essential Functions:Respond to and troubleshoot Airline and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customer technical inquiriesDevelop training materials for end user customer and provide onsite and off-site training for customersPerform detailed failure analysis and write reportsSupport new product Entry into Service (EIS) programsSupport in-service evaluations, aircraft certification and integration testing; Participate in various on-wing tests, monitor and resolve complex technical in-service issues, and provide design engineers with product feedbackWrite reports and manage inter-company communicationsMaintain knowledge of CFR, FAR, SFAR’s (Federal Aviation Regulations)Maintain knowledge of outside agencies such as FAA, NTSB, ICAO, JAA, EASA, and their servicesSupport Product Development Phase (PDP) ProcessParticipate in Program Design Review (PDRs) and on-going status reviewsAny other task assigned by supervisor or managementNon-Essential Functions:Participate in various industry symposiums, conferences and meetingsBuild and maintain various Product Support databasesMinimum Qualifications:Experience: 0-2 years relevant work experienceKnowledge: Working knowledge of the airline industry, airline products, airline support requirements, and regulatory requirements; Working knowledge of aircraft and shop level maintenance; Working knowledge of MS Projects; Working knowledge of Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS);Understands fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program; Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the fieldSkills/Abilities:Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookEducation/Certification:BA or BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related technical discipline; OR Associate's Degree from a two-year college & 4+ years of relevant work experience.Driver's License requiredEligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
