The Role:
Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior .NET Full Stack Developer to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting-edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the “team,” drives continuous improvement, and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Responsibilities:
- Managing client expectations
- Regular interactions with the business for effort estimation, task planning, and execution.
- Implementing best practices and coding standards.
- Coordinating with the offshore team.
- Troubleshooting production issues.
- Support in weekend production installs.
- Experience in Agile methodology.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable software solutions using C#.Net.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ASP.NET applications with existing systems.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality code by conducting thorough testing and code reviews.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and propose adaptations to current projects.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and address technical and design requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance.
- Document development phases and monitor systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Required Skills:
- 8-12 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of web development technologies, including ASP.NET.
- Familiarity with asset management operations and fund accounting is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to achieving project goals and deadlines.
