ManpowerGroup Facility Engineer in Lake in the Hills, Illinois
Our client is seeking a Facility Electrical Engineer to join their team. As an EE, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the electrical infrastructures across a datacenter campus, ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems and being involved in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure data center uptime.
Job Title: CE Facility Support Engineer
Contract Length: Up to 18 Months
Pay Range: $40/hr - $46/hr
Shift Schedule: 1st shift, Sunday through Tuesday, and every other Wednesday night shift.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Perform Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdown of one source while ensuring critical load is still supplied.
- Carry out PDU shutdowns for power meter replacements and assist with Power Interruption Testing (PIT).
- Manage shutdowns or replacements of master controllers.
- Monitor and maintain building management systems (EPMS) across facilities.
- Adhere to the National Electrical Code and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
What’s Needed?
- 5+ years of work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g., automotive, electrical, controls, data center).
- OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification is required.
- Experience with electrical systems in high-availability environments such as data centers, hospitals, or manufacturing.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, and varying work weeks.
