Superior Steel Door & Trim Company is looking for an architectural designer.
SSDT is a custom WBE and DBE Certified manufacturing business doing the majority of our work in the NYC/NY/NJ area.
Architect designed based and design buil d projects.
Job Duties & Activities:

Job Duties & Activities:
- Prepare submittal documents and shop drawings for projects using AutoCAD, CAD, Word, Excel and other common PC based programs
- Responsible for document plotting, document transmittal & distribution
- Revise & resubmit documents as required
- Track submittal progress & project document control
- Prepare shop manufacturing drawings & documentation
- Support shop requests for project related information and procedures
- Assist field personnel with field measuring, project questions & directions
- Prepare material take-offs and estimates to assist estimator in preparation of project quotes
- Provide support to shop manufacturing processes to deliver metal specialty items to our clients.
- Experience with sheet metal & structural steel fabrication, fasteners, welding, glazing and general commercial construction methods.
- A working background with AutoCAD, Solidworks, PC based systems & networks, printers, engineering plotters, and other office devices are a plus.
