Office location is flexible.What you can expect from APTIM:Work that is worthy of your time and talentRespect and flexibility to live a full life at work and at homeDogged determination to deliver for our clients and communitiesA voice in making our company betterInvestment into your personal and professional developmentKey Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Responsible for managing all aspects of engineering projects from business development, scope and fee development, staffing plan development, project oversight and execution, quality management, and financial performanceManagement of all phases of project activities that range from small to large in value and a variety of scopes that include multi-discipline engineering teams.Develop new, and manage existing, client relationships; identify new opportunities with clients; lead all aspects of proposal development and submission including project planning, budgeting, and scheduling; lead contract preparation and negotiations.Ensures conformance to applicable engineering and construction codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.As required, visits project sites to monitor activities throughout project lifecycleIdentifies and resolves staffing needsMaintains awareness and ensures successful execution of required client invoicing and associated deadlinesAs necessary, creates, coordinates or updates project-specific policies and proceduresWorks alongside project teaming partners to ensure successful project executionBasic Qualifications:Requires Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited program. An advanced degree such as a Masters in Engineering or MBA is a plus.Licensed Professional EngineerPMP Certification is a plus.8+ years of relevant project management experienceAbility to quickly acquire a working knowledge of program- or project-specific laws, policies, procedures and correspondenceDemonstrated experience in successful cost, schedule, and contract management of engineering design projectsExperience relaying technical subject matter to large, diverse audiencesPrevious experience working with teaming subcontractors to produce consolidated designsCandidate must be willing to travel to support project needsCandidate must be willing to obtain a US Security Clearance to support the projectsCandidate must be a U.S. CitizenDesired/Preferred Qualifications:Project management certification(s)NQA-1 experiencePrevious DOE Nuclear project experienceCurrent or former US security clearanceWho we are and what we do:APTIM is a global industry leader headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
