We are a leading vertical software company specializing in providing comprehensive solutions to businesses in the field services industry, including lawn maintenance, landscaping, pest control, security, cleaning & janitorial services, HVAC installation, plumbing, and more. Our innovative software enables these businesses to streamline operations and enhance service delivery. As we continue to expand our offerings, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales for our Fintech Solutions to join our team.

The Director of Sales, Fintech Solutions, will lead and manage a team of sales professionals dedicated to driving the sale of fintech services to our core software customer base. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and direct engagement with key clients to promote and sell our fintech solutions, including payment processing services, bill pay, lending, buy now pay later, payroll, and insurance services.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership within the fintech or related sectors and a deep understanding of fintech solutions within a vertical SaaS context, especially payments, bill pay, lending, and consumer banking.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  1. Sales Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team of both Account Executives (Hunters) & Account Managers (Farmers) plus Business Development professionals.
    • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
    • Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  2. Strategic Planning:
    • Develop, build, launch, and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals for fintech solutions.
    • Identify and prioritize target markets, customer segments, and sales opportunities.
    • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with product development and promotional strategies.
  3. Pricing & Negotiation:
    • Fully understand the Fintech PnL to negotiate enterprise deals with sophisticated customers and consultants.
    • Understand fintech monetization levers as well as software monetization levers to negotiate benefits of the bundle, especially when compared to non-integrated and semi-integrated solutions.
    • Understand the specific advantages of WorkWave Fintech solutions compared to competitors' offerings.
    • Roll out playbooks and training to the team to improve their ability to handle complex negotiations.
  4. Client Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
    • Conduct high-level sales presentations and negotiations with potential and existing customers.
    • Understand customer needs and tailor fintech solutions to meet their specific requirements.
    • Develop and curate pitch materials tailored for market segments and specific enterprise clients.
  5. Market Expansion:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the field services industry.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting fintech services.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  6. Performance Management:
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and KPIs.
    • Prepare regular reports and forecasts for senior management.
    • Implement corrective actions and improvement initiatives to address performance gaps.
  7. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, customer support, and finance.
    • Ensure effective communication of sales initiatives, strategies, and performance across the organization.
    • Foster a customer-centric approach and ensure a seamless customer experience.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the fintech or related industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Deep understanding of fintech solutions and their application within the field services industry.
  • Strong relationships and reputation within the target industries.
  • Prior sales management experience leading both Hunter & Farmer individual sales contributors.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.

COMPENSATION:
$135,000 - $190,000 a year. In our dedication to salary transparency, we provide a compensation range for sales roles which is a base salary plus commission and bonus. The final offer will be dependent on various factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, and the organization's budget.
