Welding Engineer

Title: Welding Engineer

Location: North Charleston, SC

Pay: $85k - $100k (depending on experience)

Type: Direct hire, full-time

Responsibilities

• Create, submit, and manage Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Lead welding projects
• Analyze engineering designs for welding requirements
• Review welding procedures, processes and documentation
• Assist in managing welding procedure qualifications and generating welding procedures to help the manufacturing and welding teams
• Conduct failure analyses and cause analyses on welding issues

Qualifications

• BS degree required
• 0-3 years of work experience in Quality Assurance, fabrication, or non-destructive testing field
• Experience with ISO9001 Quality System rules, regulations, planning and implementation
• NAVSEA and ASME experience (preferred)
• MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, statistical software knowledge
• Experience with performing Internal Audits and Document Control
• Knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation.
