Overview: We are seeking an Electrical Reliability Engineer to enhance safety, optimize equipment performance, and improve plant operations. This role involves ensuring the reliable operation of electrical systems and equipment, focusing on maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design and implementation of electrical safety enhancements and system upgrades for plant equipment and facilities.
  • Investigate electrical safety incidents and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop, refine, and document preventive maintenance programs aimed at increasing equipment reliability and reducing production disruptions.
  • Provide troubleshooting expertise and technical support for equipment malfunctions, assisting the maintenance team in quickly resolving issues and resuming production.
  • Oversee and organize daily tasks of plant electrical technicians to ensure timely and efficient maintenance activities.
  • Analyze production downtime data to identify improvement opportunities and initiate projects or modify maintenance procedures.
  • Prepare root cause analysis reports for equipment failures and assess corrective actions, ensuring alignment with preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Develop and justify cost-effective solutions for system improvements and corrective actions, ensuring timely execution of improvement projects.
  • Coordinate external contractor activities with internal teams to reduce costs and ensure production continuity.
  • Conduct assessments of critical spare parts, manage standardization efforts, and optimize inventory to support plant operations.
  • Create and implement standard operating procedures; lead training programs for electricians and electronic technicians to enhance their skills.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics to support continuous improvement efforts in alignment with department goals.
  • Facilitate problem-solving initiatives to drive operational enhancements and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Execute project engineering tasks and provide leadership support when Supervisors or Department Managers are unavailable.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Formal training or significant experience in preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Maintenance Engineering or Maintenance Supervisor role.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly in metal product manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in coaching, mentoring, and team management.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and improving plant electrical systems and equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret production data and suggest actionable improvements.
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications with a willingness to develop technical skills as needed.
