The Role:
Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead Java Engineer to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the "team", drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.
Location: Raleigh, NC or Atlanta
Responsibilities:
- Build reusable components and libraries for handling APIs for web application
- Work closely with UX, Design and Product to understand and build web application from scratch
- Deliver functional and testable code with thorough unit testing to satisfy effective DevOps pipeline
- Contribute to and enforce coding standards and also involve in code review through GIT flow process.
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Required Skill:
- 12-15 years of experience as a senior or lead hands on development
- Have proficient understanding of java, spring boot, developing REST API and consuming them.
- Have worked on web application development.
- Have thorough knowledge on Unit testing.
- Have implemented Swagger UI in REST Services for interactive testing.
