PCB Design Engineer

This skilled PCB Design Engineer will be responsible for analyzing product proposals, selecting components, and preparing detailed schematics and PCB layouts. The role requires strong expertise in electronic design, testing, and collaboration with manufacturing teams to ensure seamless production processes.

Focus:

  • Conduct feasibility assessments on product proposals based on data analysis.
  • Research and select electronic components with an emphasis on performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop detailed schematics and PCB layouts to meet design requirements.
  • Utilize simulation tools to validate design intent and plan experimental test programs.
  • Supervise testing and fabrication of prototype models, ensuring products meet electrical design targets.
  • Operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers to test product functionality.
  • Optimize matching and tuning performance of selected components, focusing on RF designs.
  • Analyze test results to ensure compliance with regulatory, functional, and performance standards.
  • Document the manufacturing process and ensure a smooth transition from design to production.
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

Skill Set:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in RF component integration and PCB design.
  • Proficiency in testing and tuning RF traces and circuits.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with ERP systems like NetSuite is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset and strong numerical skills.
  • Familiarity with battery-operated and low-power wireless devices.
  • Expertise in PCB design and schematic capture tools (Altium preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with RF components such as amplifiers, mixers, and filters.
  • Ability to design and analyze embedded antenna systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience with RF circuits operating in the 1GHz to 5GHz frequency range.
