We're looking for a highly motivated Senior Systems Controls Engineer who will work with clients and vendors to design the systems and controls that meet the customer's needs. You'll have a firm understanding of the various technologies available and the ability to recommend the right solution based on the project needs. You'll lead others within the business and will work to develop relationships with potential clients for future opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and direct various aspects of engineering and production activities and projects
- Translate customer requirements into functional system designs
- Review pre-construction designs and documentation
- Work with sales, project managers and estimators to assess potential projects, determine scope of work, prepare fee schedules and develop proposals
- Generate functional system descriptions and diagrams
- Provide ongoing engineering support
- Perform system calculations from preliminary design to final design
- Provide markups for plans and lead cost estimates
- Coordinate with project team, subcontractors, clients, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work
- Manage and maintain project documentation, including project schedules, budgets, and scope
- Develop and implement project policies and procedures, project control systems and the project execution plan
- Ensure all engineering projects and processes follow company policies and objectives, and meet regulatory requirements
- Manage project and department financials including cost tracking, A/P and A/R status, and overall cost and P&L management.(PO1)
- Review and approve final design of projects.
- Provide mentoring and training to less experienced staff
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or other related field)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer in one or more states strongly preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of systems and controls
- Experience with general construction, utilities, and/or water and wastewater treatment plants preferred
- Ability to read and understand civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings.
- Ability to create process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Proficient with MS Office products and other standard software packages.
- Proficient with CAD and other design software platforms.

Base Salary: $100k-$140k
