Primary Job Responsibilities

1. Participate in development and implementation of technical systems.
2. Implement shared components and frameworks using Java in a Linux/Solaris based environment.
3. Work in an agile environment with Product Management, QA, and Operations teammates to ensure we develop the correct product for the job at hand.
4. Be able to understand our technical domain architecture.
5. Enhance and maintain existing product capabilities.
6. Play an active role in providing feedback across the team through code reviews.

Job Requirements

Required:

1. Understand the concepts around concurrency and transactions.
2. Knowledge of distributed systems software design and understanding of TCP fundamentals, computer architecture, storage and IO subsystems.
3. Experience with dependency injection frameworks (Spring, CDI, Guice, etc).
4. Experience with object-relational mapping technologies (Hibernate, JPA etc).
5. Experience with the Maven build tool.

Nice-to-have:

1. Knowledge of JAX-RS.
2. SQL experience (preferably Oracle).
3. Understanding of Continuous Delivery concepts.
4. NodeJS, Grails or experience with other web application frameworks.
5. Understands security concepts and tooling including but not limited to PKI, Cryptography, along with how those apply to web concepts (HTTP(S), SSL/TLS, certificates etc).
