Responsibilities
What you'll be challenged to do:
The Atlanta office seek a highly motivated Structural/Bridge Engineer with 0-5 years of experience in bridge design to join our established transportation practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects in a unique and dynamic work environment. In this role you will be responsible for the successful performance of structural design/analysis and hydraulic design of bridges along with the preparation of construction plans, project specifications, and quantity/cost estimates. You will also work closely with other teams on multi-disciplinary projects, including bridge, roadway, traffic, rail, site, and public transit.

- Preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules and designs for bridge design projects.
- Receive instructions from Senior Project Managers as to the general results expected.
- Review project design for general compliance with engineering principles, company standards, client contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
- Be responsible for accuracy of engineering design and plan preparation, quality presentation, thoroughness and follow-through, and efficient conformance to budgets, schedules, and company standards.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
What you bring to our firm:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from a 4-yr accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 0 years of related bridge design experience.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- No relocation assistance provided.
- Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

- Experience with engineering design packages such as MicroStation (required), LEAP Bridge, Staad.Pro, MathCAD and/or other structural analysis software systems.
- Registration as a licensed EIT in GA.
- Familiarity with structural/bridge design process through application of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and GDOT Bridge Manual code requirements.
