Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Sam's Club. We are looking for an iOS Senior software engineer who is self-motivated with strong knowledge of software fundamentals and excited to solve complex problems.
What you'll do:
- Design and implement core features in the shopping funnel of Sam’s Club iOS application.
- Work closely with product and design teams to optimize the experience for iOS platform.
- Understand complex architecture and add any enhancements to the existing solutions.
- Write unit tests and improve code coverage for unit tests.
- Experiment with new technologies and features and build quick prototypes.
- Participate in managing code & configurations for multiple environments, release management process, creating and maintaining environment configuration and controls, code integrity and work closely with platform team.
- Analyzing business requirements, developing UI/UX, supporting QA and similar steps of the scrum process, working in an agile development environment with a quick turnaround time and iterative builds.
- Lead the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high-level design.
- Troubleshoot business and production issues.
- Ensure inclusion of business vision and industry trends to enable results that drive business.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting design and development issues and provide appropriate solutions.
- Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
What you'll bring:
- Good proficiency in Swift and iOS application architecture.
- Solid understanding of iOS UI framework, design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders alike.
- A desire to work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.
- Knowledge of supporting tools like Figma, Charles, Postman.
- Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles is a plus.
- Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
