Structured has an immediate opening in Seattle, Washington for a Senior Systems Engineer. This position is responsible for architecting complex solutions in the areas of storage, physical and virtual servers, data protection and archiving/replication. This position is also responsible for providing demonstrations and presentations, leading technical discussions, developing product customizations, planning, and executing customer proof of concepts, providing product training and support and leading rapid deployment efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Architect complex storage, physical and virtual server, data protection, archiving and replication solutions.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and manage storage and systems technologies.
- Work with customers to identify, remediate, and test solutions.
- Document designs and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
- Responsible for successfully executing all technical components of an enterprise sales and delivery cycle.
- Leads technical discussions and develops product customizations.
- Responsible for the planning and execution of customer proof of concepts.
- Provides product training, support, and leads rapid deployment efforts.
- Translates business requirements into functional/technical specifications.
- Responsible for creating alternative designs to satisfy performance and cost criteria for customers.
- Assists engineers with complex technical tasks including debugging, supporting hardware modules and systems.
- Identifies and corrects faults and provides resolution of complex problem tickets escalated from Structured’s help desk.
- Effectively communicates Structured’s value proposition through PowerPoint presentations, proposals, and development of collateral, as needed, to drive sales and branding of Structured.
- Assists sales personnel with pre-sales technical support; Leverage technical background to identify professional service opportunities in the areas of storage/systems, virtualization, data protection, archiving and replication solutions.
- Supervises and checks the status of projects and work assignments.
- Supports and provides knowledge transfer to clients.
- Provide input for professional service statements of work (“SOW”) and create SOW’s as directed and provide project management services (as needed).
- Additional duties as assigned.

- Ability to maintain and continually develop accurate product and application knowledge.
- Overcome technical and business objections posed by prospective customers.
- Proactively learn and utilize new technologies, concepts and procedures as necessary based on project requirements.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization from end-user to senior management about both business and IT needs.
- Excellent project management, project scoping, troubleshooting, problem resolution, documentation and customer management skills required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information systems or equivalent experience or at least seven years’ experience in the data management industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong experience with Rubrik backup and recovery solutions, including backup of NAS and enterprise database systems such as Oracle and MS SQL.
- Must have experience and familiarity with Azure/AWS.
- Experience in the configuration, deployment and support of storage/systems and back-up technologies (both hardware and software), including Pure, NetApp, or HPE based solutions.
- Proficient knowledge of VMware environments.
- Previous experience as either a pre-post sales engineer, IT Infrastructure engineer/ systems administrator in a large Corporation (500+ employees)
General Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be an experienced user of the Microsoft Office Suite and have experience with a customer relationship management (CRM) tool, such as Salesforce.com.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data. With the ability to correspond, effectively present information, respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, vendors and customers.

Work is performed in both a general office environment, as well as a data center environment. Within the general office environment both the lighting and temperature are generally moderate. The data center environment is generally cool in temperature and the lighting is moderate; the noise level in the data center environment is generally loud.
Must have a valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel to customer locations and other destinations for short to medium term projects. This position may also require an adjusted work schedule and evening hours in order to meet or attend vendor/customer needs. Flexibility to field phone calls, pager or system alerts and provide remote and/or on-site support to clients outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays. Ability to be on site in Seattle at a customer’s location, three to four days per week.
