RF Network Engineer

• Location: North San Antonio, TX (4 days onsite, 1 day remote per week)
• Duration: 12+ months
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

About the Project: The Gathering Networks Project is focused on building large RF wireless networks to deliver reliable communication to our most abundant and remote assets. The goal is to enhance their communication capabilities, provide higher bandwidth for future initiatives, and improve the reliability of remote access and data acquisition.

Responsibilities:

• Provide network engineering support for the Gathering Networks project.
• Troubleshoot and maintain the RF-based network infrastructure.
• Leverage experience with technologies such as Cambium, Freewave, MDS, and Orbit Tracking.
• Possess a solid understanding of 900 MHz, 5 GHz, and 11 GHz RF technologies.
• Monitor the network, identify, and resolve communication issues.
• Collaborate with the third-party company performing the network installation and deployment.
• Assist the team with remote access and configuration management of network devices.
• Provide support during the initial network setup and ongoing maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in network engineering, particularly with RF-based networks.
• Familiarity with Cambium, Freewave, MDS, and Orbit Tracking technologies.
• Strong understanding of 900 MHz, 5 GHz, and 11 GHz RF technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with third-party vendors and internal teams.
• Experience with remote access and configuration management of network devices.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with large-scale RF wireless network projects.
• Certifications in relevant network technologies or engineering fields.
