How you’ll make an Impact
As the Systems Engineer (SE) you will provide onsite technical support to customers on a recurring or non- recurring basis and will be an escalation point for technical issues.
Summary of Location and Hours
  • This exciting opportunity involves working on-site daily with various clients throughout the DMV area, providing an immersive and dynamic work experience. Travel may require up to 1.5 hr drive to location.
  • Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm EST with an On-Call rotation schedule, one week at a time about 3-4 times a year.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and insured vehicle. Mileage, parking and toll reimbursement is provided, you will also be eligible for our cell phone reimbursement program.
What you will be doing
  • Provides excellent support to customers remotely or onsite as needed
  • Resolves technical issues assigned to them
  • Maintain utilization metrics above 80%
  • Provides advanced troubleshooting and resolutions
  • Design and build networks, VLANs and security rules
  • Design and build GPOs to enforce policy across organizations
  • Configuration of AAD and DirSync to O365
  • Troubleshoot advanced applications, servers, and networks
  • Troubleshoot Virtual machines and drives
  • Troubleshoot VLAN settings and configurations
  • Create and manage internal DNS zones and settings
  • Understanding of raid arrays and configurations
  • Create virtual machines, drives, and configurations
  • Create and manage firewall rules and configurations
  • Migrate VMs from hosts and storage
  • Update ticket notes and details daily
  • Participates in the afterhours support rotation
  • Preforms deployments and new system setups
  • Performs datacenter visits as needed
You’ll be successful in this role if you have experience in/with
  • At least 3 to 7 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Windows Server Administration/Deployment/Implementation
  • Email Migrations – On-Prem/O365/Google Suite
  • Intune/Endpoint Manager Setup/Configuration
  • Microsoft Azure Knowledge – Implementation of VM’s, VNets, Virtual Gateways, Virtual Firewalls
  • Sharepoint Online – Implementation / File Migrations / OneDrive
  • Tenant to Tenant Migration Experience – O365 to O365, Google to O365
  • Network infrastructure implementation and administration of routers, firewalls and switches in-depth experience including system implementation, management and documentation
  • Microsoft Hyper-V/ VMware LAN/WAN Technologies
  • Ability to create and document technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Ability to travel to client premises as needed
  • This position requires a high level of independence and strong client service skills. Organizational ability is important to keep track of all tasks, because the job requires a great deal of multi-tasking. We also require accurate and timely tracking of client work, service calls, and related documentation including timesheets and expense reporting.
Required language skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally, in English, both written and orally
  • Ability to write business correspondence and process procedures
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public
Bonus points for
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable
  • Experience with ConnectWise (Manage & Automate) and SCCM
  • Subject matter expert for specific technologies (e.g. Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, Cisco, etc.)
  • Certifications including:
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently

The base pay range for this position is expected to be between $69,000.00 and $115,000.00 per year, plus an annual on-target bonus if applicable, not all roles are subject to bonus. The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, and PTO. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
