Job Title: R&D Process Engineer


Summary:

We are seeking an innovative and results-driven R&D Process Engineer to improve the processing and performance of existing and future products. This role will also focus on evaluating, validating, and implementing enhancements to our supply chain, ensuring optimal efficiency and quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead studies to assess the impact of process changes on manufacturability and performance.
  • Design, evaluate, and implement hardware modifications to improve existing processes.
  • Develop and execute evaluation plans for raw materials.
  • Provide timely support to resolve manufacturing challenges.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of process engineering experience, ideally with composite materials or plastics.
  • Hands-on experience in pultrusion processes is highly preferred.
  • Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with mechanical testing and composite characterization is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, innovate, and take initiative.
  • Strong multitasking skills with a desire to self-learn new testing methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with external vendors is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Quality Control, ISO documentation, and Six Sigma methodologies is a bonus.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
