CM employees assume substantial responsibility, balancing cost, schedule, and technical requirements to deliver the most benefit to the Government. Frequent and effective communication with suppliers, Naval Reactors, and Prime interface organizations is a necessary function of the role.The CM Fuel and Poison Operations unit is responsible for over $150M/yr of contracted work with the external suppliers of nuclear feedstock, fuel and poison. We are looking for a Chemical Engineer interested in solving real-world manufacturing challenges to join our team. In this position you will develop expertise in manufacturing processes, technical requirements, product cost drivers, and how these are managed through contracts. You will monitor production using key process indicators, track product quality using statistical process control techniques, and provide technical/economic engineering evaluations as required.
