Sr Android Software Engineer, TikTok Privacy

Responsibilities

We are looking for passionate Android Software Engineers to develop our privacy products. On the TikTok Privacy team, you will have significant ownership and impact over major user-facing features that affect the core TikTok experience.

As an Android Engineer on the TikTok Privacy team, you will:

1. Build privacy products to serve our user's data privacy needs;
2. Increase protection of users and families on engaging digital platforms;
3. Evolve TikTok for users, an alternative TikTok environment appropriate for users under thirteen;
4. Design, implement and maintain the features that protect user privacy of our mobile application;
5. Collaborate with the design and product teams to create a world-class mobile experience;
6. Analyze and optimize Android applications for efficiency, performance and privacy control;
7. Promote robust and maintainable code, clear documentation, and deliver high-quality work on a tight schedule.

1. Proficiency in at least one of these programming languages: Java and Kotlin;
2. Ability to understand and debug large and complex code bases;
3. Good team communication and collaboration skills.

1. BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors;
2. 3 YOE in native Android development;
3. Passion or interest in protecting individual privacy is a huge plus!

Compensation Description (annually): The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $187040 - $280000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
