Our client, a healthcare focused media company, is looking for a Product Designer (UX/UI and Design Systems) for an ongoing contract position. The role is 100% remote. As a Product Designer, you will be a key member of a dynamic product design team supporting web and app-specific initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end UX/UI design process for web and mobile, from concept ideation to final implementation
- Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions, ensuring a deep understanding of user needs, pain points and behaviors
- Create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate your design concepts and solutions
- Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to ensure the feasibility and successful implementation of design solutions
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and refine designs based on user insights and data
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in mobile and native app design and actively share your knowledge and insights with the team
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices within the organization, fostering a culture of empathy and user advocacy
Required Qualifications:
- Online portfolio showcasing your visual design and product design skills
- Experience with design systems
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., UX design, human-computer interaction, graphic design)
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Experience in conducting user research, including interviews, usability testing and surveys
- Strong knowledge of mobile app design guidelines and best practices for iOS and Android platforms
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts and solutions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, juggling multiple projects and priorities
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a big plus
