Big Data Developer

General Description:

We are looking for an experienced Big Data Engineer with 12 years of experience in developing large-scale data applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spark, and Scala , along with hands-on experience using AWS technologies such as EMR, EKS, and Lambda . This role will involve designing and implementing big data solutions while ensuring efficiency and scalability. Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain big data applications using Java , Spark , and Scala to handle and process large volumes of data.
• Utilize AWS technologies such as EMR (Big Data Platform) , EKS , and Lambda to build scalable and high-performance solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver data-driven features and improvements.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve the performance of big data applications and pipelines.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance the development process and technology stack.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.

Must-Have Skills:

• 12 years of experience in application development, with a strong focus on Java , Spark , and Scala for big data applications.
• Hands-on experience with AWS technologies such as EMR , EKS , and Lambda .
• Expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures to support data-driven applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of AWS Airflow for workflow automation and orchestration.
• Familiarity with other AWS services and tools related to big data.
• Experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a data engineering team.

• 100% Onsite in Jersey City, NJ .
