Job Title: SVTC Engineer III
Location: 250 Peterson Blvd Colorado Springs, Colorado 80914
Clearance Level: Active DoD - TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
Required Certification(s): * Must possess current DoD 8570 IAT II and CCNP (or equivalent) certifications.
SUMMARY DIA serves as the Executive Agent for the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) providing Wide Area Network capability at the TS//SCI level to the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, non-title 10, and non-title 50 entities. DIA's Office of the Chief Information Office operates the JWICS Program on behalf of the agency, operating and maintaining the architecture supporting its nearly 250K users. The JWICS PMO manages JWICS and the associated Modernization effort by overseeing the research, development, design, and implementation phases to deliver new capabilities and maintain current operations of the JWICS architecture.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead and support enterprise UC projects; provide UC (VoIP/VTC/DVTC) engineering and architecture development support. * Provide a high level of technical understanding for problem solving and troubleshooting. * Provide training and support to subordinate engineers/administrators/technicians when necessary. * Interact with hardware and software vendors to address issues when necessary. * Use escalation standards and personal judgment to ensure timely resolution of problems. * Resolve escalated trouble tickets from Service Desk. * Work on-call shift rotations with other members of the department. * Deployment and troubleshooting of VOIP equipment such as Cisco UC equipment. * Deployment and troubleshooting of VOIP tools - Jabber, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Cisco Unified. * Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection (CUC). * Responsible for managing very complex and/or high-risk programs and shall not serve in any other capability. * Supervise assigned technical staff, including subordinate managers. * Establish state-of-the-art techniques for designing, developing, modifying and troubleshooting highly complex computer operating hardware system. * Design UC/VoIP operating/hardware systems; formulate UC/VoIP system concepts and architecture, specific requirements, and develop implementation approaches. * Identify and direct resolution of complex hardware/software interface issues; subject matter expert on emerging technologies; direct the development of UC/VoIP systems specifications and technical documentation. * Provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of all components of complex hardware/software UC/VoIP systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing UC/VoIP system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis. * Conduct and/or approve end-to-end system trade analyses to optimize UC/VoIP system operations over its life cycle through the proper balance of non-functional UC/VoIP system performance areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certifications * Must possess current DoD 8570 IAT II and CCNP (or equivalent) certifications.
Education, Background, and Years of Experience * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to the position; an additional 4 years of experience be substituted in lieu of a degree * Minimum six (6) years of relevant experience in addition to education level

Required Skills * Experience working in a DoD or IC environment desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions * Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Strength Demands * Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
