Senior Software Engineer - Frontend

As a Software Engineer at Oncora, you will play a pivotal role in driving our engineering team to deliver high-quality, scalable, and interoperable solutions that impact the lives of patients and healthcare professionals.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with experience in web development (with a particular focus on frontend development). You will be responsible for developing frontend components and pages, while also making critical decisions related to our web application, customer deployment model, and application security. This role requires a deep understanding of technical architecture, healthcare interoperability standards, and security best practices. Experience working with sensitive data is a must.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the frontend expert on our full stack application engineering team, working collaboratively with engineering, product, and executive stakeholders to build our healthcare web applications.
2. Integrate with existing REST APIs and willingness to do full-stack work if needed.

Qualifications:

1. BS in engineering, technical, or healthcare field.
2. 4+ years of work experience as a software engineer at a technology company.
3. Deep experience with JavaScript.
4. Experience with modern frontend frameworks (we use React with TypeScript).
5. Experience with build tools (like Webpack).
6. Experience with GraphQL.
7. Experience with troubleshooting issues across various browsers and devices.
8. An eye for design, but not necessarily a formal design background.
9. Ability to write maintainable code.
10. Experience with writing comprehensive unit tests (we use Jest) and documentation.

Compensation:

1. $130k-165k, equity, 401k, health insurance, dental insurance.
