The Edge Platform team manages a Kubernetes-based distributed system with hundreds of points of presence (PoPs) worldwide. Our goal is to provide cloud-native interfaces that enable users to deploy and manage various location and latency-sensitive workloads, including traffic acceleration, CDN caching, gaming, live streaming, real-time communication (RTC), and edge computing.

We are seeking motivated graduates to join our Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS) group. You will work with experienced engineers to enhance workload lifecycle management, multi-tenant isolation, performance optimization, and scaling capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with team members to help build a platform (PaaS) that supports both internal and external users.
  2. Assist in developing components within the Kubernetes ecosystem, such as basic Kubernetes enhancements and container networking interfaces (CNI).
  3. Write and run tests to ensure the reliability of the platform.
  4. Support the team in deploying and maintaining the platform in a production environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  2. Experience in programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, or C/C++.
  3. Familiarity with databases and messaging frameworks, such as MySQL, Postgres, Redis, or Kafka.
  4. Basic understanding of one or more of the following domains: Kubernetes, Docker/container technologies, virtualization, or Linux networking stack.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Exposure to Kubernetes-related development, such as basic enhancements or open-source projects.
  2. Basic knowledge of networking technologies like Cilium or Calico.
  3. Understanding of virtualization technologies, such as Docker/containers or virtual machines.
  4. Interest in learning about service mesh, proxies, and networking stacks.

Job Information:

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $119000 - $250000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
