Job Overview:
As a Linux Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you'll play a crucial role in architecting, building, and maintaining high-quality systems that power our studio's operations. You'll collaborate with talented engineers and cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions while staying abreast of new technologies and best practices. Our environment fosters a cloud-first approach and emphasizes infrastructure-as-code, automation, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, create, and architect robust systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand their requirements and provide scalable solutions.
- Evangelize new technologies, patterns, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute fresh ideas and solutions to a community of high-caliber engineers, fostering innovation.
- Implement self-healing infrastructure-as-code principles and automate repetitive tasks.
- Embed security measures into every aspect of our systems, making it an integral part of our culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in UNIX/Linux administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security.
- Proficiency in system management languages such as Chef, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Strong scripting skills with multiple languages like Python, GO, PERL, or Swift.
- Familiarity with emerging containerization technologies like Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Experience with Cloud/PaaS environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Compute.
- Thorough understanding of continuous integration tools like Jenkins and Bamboo.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects.
