CNC Machinist I - 1st ShiftChippewa Falls, WI ( is searching for a CNC Machinist I who will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. This role involves setting up machines, loading materials, monitoring machine processes, and performing basic maintenance tasks. Under the guidance of experienced machinists, you will play a crucial role in contributing to our manufacturing operations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSet up CNC machines by loading the appropriate tools, fixtures, and materialsInterpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate machiningOperate CNC machines to produce components, monitoring machine performance and adjusting as necessaryConduct routine quality inspections using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to verify part dimensionsMake tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments as directed by senior CNC operators or programmersPerform basic machine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubrication, and tool changesIdentify and report any machine malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisorFollow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work areaAssist in the documentation of production records, including part counts and machine logsCollaborate with senior CNC operators and machinists to enhance machining skills and knowledgeOperates CNC machines to produce production parts and assembliesRequirementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSProduce a high-quality product according to required specifications on a consistent basisProduce the required quantity of product according to required output specificationsUnderstand the machine operation process and the movement of completed componentsUse computers as requiredUse measuring tools as requiredRead and understand BlueprintsComplete necessary paperwork accurately and timelyOperate all hand tools, machines and equipment successfully as required and with minimal supervisionWork as a productive team member who contributes to the organizations’ success.Handle fast-paced workDemonstrate the ability to take initiative to see tasks that are needed and complete them without being instructed to do so by supervisors or lead personnelDemonstrate dependability with good attendanceEDUCATIONHighschool Diploma2-year technical certification or equivalent experience preferredLOCATIONOnsiteSCHEDULEMonday - Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pmWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
