It's an exciting time to be on Amazon's Video Shopping (ASV) team. Now more than ever, customers watch videos when they shop. Videos and livestreams make shopping easier and more fun, whether a customer is researching a product or tuning in to chat with their favorite content creator live. The Amazon Shopping Video (ASV) team's mission is to enable customers to find inspiration, information, entertainment, and community through videos at any point in their shopping journey. Key job responsibilities

We are looking for a Front-End Engineer to build a high performing Second Screen Companion Experience. We are looking for highly motivated, quality-centric engineers with deep end-to-end mobile and web application knowledge to design, develop and research technologies that impact millions of end users. The successful candidate must have a strong drive for results, an excellent eye for user experience, good interpersonal skills, and be a team player who has the ability to work independently in a fast-paced start-up-like environment.

You will be working with cross-functional teams across the company to develop best-in-class Second Screen Companion Experiences.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Seattle, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  1. 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
  2. 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
  3. Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React

Preferred Qualifications

  1. 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
  2. Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
