Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will:
1. Oversee and manage all mechanical aspects of large-scale construction projects, from initial planning to completion.
2. Coordinate and supervise the work of the mechanical team, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
3. Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions to mitigate risks.
4. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to design and implement mechanical systems.
5. Review and approve mechanical designs and plans, ensuring they meet all safety standards and regulations.
6. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality.
7. Manage project budgets, including the estimation and procurement of materials and equipment.
8. Prepare and present project reports and updates to stakeholders.
9. Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical construction.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Mechanical Project Manager role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in project management within the construction industry, with a specific focus on mechanical systems.
2. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety regulations.
3. Previous experience working with a mechanical contractor on HVAC, Piping, and/or Plumbing projects
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Proficiency in project management software, such as MS Project.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8. Ability to travel to construction sites as needed.
