Are you a User Experience Designer with Enterprise SaaS experience who is passionate about crafting polished, user-focused experiences that enable the world’s leading organizations and their employees to thrive?
Have you been looking for an opportunity to work with a team that understands UX research and design’s strategic role in product innovation and driving measurable business outcomes?
Do you excel in organizations that give you the data, insights, and access to customer and user insights that allow you to make decisions that drive the products you work on forward and bring measurable value to the people who work with the experience you create day after day?
You’ve come to the right place.
Korn Ferry is looking for a Senior UX Designer to join our rapidly growing product organization to build the next generation of enterprise solutions powering the world’s leading businesses across industries. Our UX designers are expected to work all the way left in the process, working with Product and Engineering, to bring help clarify problems and bring solutions to the table that are proven to move the needle for our customers and end-users.
Here's what you get to do:
- Drive UX and product design across the entire product lifecycle, work with other designers and cross-functional teammates to set strategy to deliver a unified experience for our growth suite of Korn Ferry products.
- Collaborate with other design team members on the overall product vision, information and experience architecture, and contribute to our new KF Design System.
- Practice human-centered design methods to shape the right product strategy and define the experience through deep customer and end-users research and testing.
- Work with Product, Engineering, Research, and Writing to prioritize experiences and jobs to be done with an effective balance of customer problem/value and end-user needs.
- Drive better understanding of our different users, how our solutions fit into their workflows and KF service models, and how we can deliver our solutions in ways that help users operationalize our insights and intelligence seamlessly across their workflows.
- Be autonomous. You’ll take full ownership of your work and take responsibility for every last detail every step of the way to deliver the results you are aiming for with clarity and support.
What you bring to the table:
- Proven UX design experience. You have about 5+ years of experience designing cross-product experiences for Enterprise SaaS product suites.
- You’ve shipped products, and understand what it takes to build scalable, global solutions for users working in a modern, post-pandemic, intelligence-driven workforce.
- Ability to break down complex problems into solutions that balance simplicity and power.
- A human-focused design mentality. You bring empathy to your work, and incorporate user research, and usability testing practices into your process.
- Comfortable exploring concepts, tweaking flows, or refining designs that represent the big-picture work.
- Comfortable translating and implementing findings from research and testing.
- Effective communicator and facilitator. You’ve worked in and planned sprints, identified opportunities for spike projects, and structured workshops to drive outcomes quickly and effectively.
- An eye for quality. The ability to deliver high-quality work and speak to what makes it so. You care about the user and business impact and can create solutions that are oriented to these overlapping, and sometimes, competing outcomes.
- A strong understanding of core design principles that make even the earliest of wireframes easy to understand so that discussions can focus on experience and impact. “This is just a wireframe. That will make sense after it’s designed” is not in your lexicon.
- You’re able to accurately articulate your design specifications for product development.
- You have an online portfolio or PDF of example work that you can share with us.
- An inclusive design approach to your work, understand that accessibility criteria and designing for people with disabilities (seen and unseen) is intrinsic to good product design and not something to check off at the end of the process.
Other Skills and Responsibilities
- Work with research to plan and coordinate upfront field research activities, including identifying research needs, collaborating on screener questions, user testing scripts, and market research.
- Assess usability problems caused by implementation or contextual factors, often in collaboration with advisory experts.
- Assess usability problems based on heuristics and universal design principles and recommend enhancements.
- Plan and undertake usability tests that test standard UI and pattern concepts independent of specific product domains.
- You’re comfortable working, collaborating, and testing in Figma.
- Accurately collect and record results without introducing experimental observer biases.
- Able to create user flows and process diagrams to communicate integrated workflows.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in designing Human Capital Management SaaS offerings
- Experience working with and contributing to a design system
- Experience designing data visualization, analytics, and insights solutions that make it easy for people to make data-informed decisions that benefit their organization and employees without needing to be an expert in data science and analysis.
- Proficient in UX processes, design patterns and methodologies, and working iteratively while staying focused on outcomes.
- Experience with remote and unmoderated testing.
