Essential Job Functions:
The position will provide day-to-day operational support, troubleshooting, provisioning, installation/configuration, server administration, network administration, maintenance of system hardware, and software support. Under the direction of the Manager of Technology Service Operations, the position's influence is District-wide and may affect every school/department through timely planning, discussions with customers, execution of services requested by supporting customers and the creation/maintenance of appropriate support documentation. Position may have contact with all levels of District staff.

Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of previous experience in a System Engineer role
- Capable of server and network administration
- Experience in virtual and physical Server environments
- Enterprise Data Center Support
- Scripting Skills in Windows, PowerShell, and automation skills.
- Attention to detail, and ability to analyze and resolve technical problems.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment,
- Self-starter, motivated, creative, flexible, deadline-oriented, and able to multitask
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with system monitoring tools
- Strong working knowledge of common network protocols and services including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, LDAP, Group Policy, SMTP
