Field Engineer
Contract Length: 2.5 years
Location: Sharon, PA
Work Setup: Hybrid (2 days in office per week, preferably Tue & Thu)
We are seeking a skilled Field Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in managing and expanding our OSP network infrastructure, requiring both technical expertise and strong communication skills.
Field Engineer Responsibilities:

• Manage all engineering activities for assigned projects related to OSP network infrastructure
• Design upgrades, repairs, and enhancements to the Outside Plant telephony network, including:
  • Structures (poles and conduit systems)
  • Cable (copper & fiber)
  • Associated equipment for aerial, underground, buried, and customer premise equipment
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders through professional written/verbal communications
• Coordinate project activities with contractors, developers, municipalities, and consultants
• Propose creative and effective solutions supported by sound engineering and operational productivity
• Process reports, vendor invoices, material receipts, and handle other administrative duties
• Communicate project status and progress to team members and customers
• Multi-task effectively to manage a wide range of simultaneous activities

Field Engineer Qualifications:

• Strong background in OSP network infrastructure and telephony systems
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficient in designing and implementing network upgrades and repairs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience in project management and stakeholder coordination
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices

Additional Information for Field Engineer Role:

• Work conditions: 40 hours per week with extensive field work required
• The Field Engineer will be in the field majority of the time, with weekly office visits
