Senior Electronics Technician

Bluehawk Consulting is seeking a Senior Electronics Technician to support a collaborative multi-disciplinary organization.
Project Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician / EE Technician to support our engineering team with hands-on assembly, rework, and PCB design tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with small component surface-mount technology (SMT), soldering, and printed circuit board (PCB) layout. While a degree is not required, strong technical skills and proficiency in tools such as Altium Designer are preferred. Engineers with experience in these areas are also welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
  • Assembly & Rework: Perform precise soldering and rework on small SMT components to ensure quality and reliability.
  • PCB Layout & Schematic Capture: Assist in the design & modification of PCB layouts & electrical schematics.
  • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with engineers to implement design changes and resolve issues related to PCB assemblies.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Support prototyping efforts by assembling & testing electronic components & circuits.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including schematics, layouts, and changes.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience with soldering and rework of small SMT components.
  • Familiarity with PCB layout tools such as Altium Designer (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of electronic schematics and ability to perform schematic capture.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with engineers.
  • No formal degree required, but relevant technical experience is essential.

Salary Range for this position: $90,000 - $100,000
