Software Engineer, Amazon

Key Job Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer in the Training Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for developing and applying state of the art technology to support our model trainings, such as enabling long context in large language models and improving model training efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

1. 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2. 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
3. Experience programming with at least one software programming language
4. 2+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
6. Experience with ETL, scheduling, workflow orchestration frameworks, e.g., Airflow, Mlflow, Kubeflow, etc.
7. Experience leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
8. Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
9. Experience with developing machine learning pipelines at scale
10. Masters degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
