Job Description
Associate Director, Lead Full Stack Developer, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, New York, NY:
Architect, develop, and maintain the low latency and high-performance PRISM trading system in C++, Python, and Databases, including MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, Berkeley DB, for Cross-regions Market Data sourcing, parsing and control for real-time live trading. Trading and execution data acquisition, storage and analysis. Automation of all trading and support functionalities. Work closely with internal stakeholders such as traders and quantitative researchers in a high dynamic, high demanding environment. Provide strong technical leadership, focus on the continuous improvement on the current products and system’s efficiency, reliability, and maintainability. The continuous improvement on the team’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process. The continuous improvement on the team’s Continuous Improvement / Continuous Development (CI/CD) process and pipeline. The continuous improvement on the system’s code quality, organization, and automatization. Lead the discussion, design and architecture of the next generation products and system. Effectively communicate and collaborate with other developers from different teams for cross-function requirements. Resolve production issues proactively to deliver higher quality product and systems.
Telecommuting: telecommuting permitted up to 40%.
Full time employment: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $225,000.00 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 1 year of work experience.
Must have 1 year of experience in all of the following:
- C++, Python, MySQL, and SQL Server;
- Boost Library, ZeroC ICE Library, and Linux;
- Equity and equity derivatives Market data technology through Reuters and Exegy;
- Option market data technology through OPRA direct feed;
- Market microstructure research and back testing tools in C++ and Python; and
- Low-latency market data for equity and equity derivatives.
The base salary for this job: $225,000.00 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
