Fuss & O'Neill is seeking an experienced and talented Senior Bridge Engineer to join our dynamic team in the headquarters office in Hartford, CT . As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, analysis, and management of bridge engineering projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and innovative projects while contributing to the growth and success of our firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage bridge engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Perform structural analysis and design using industry-standard software.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes and standards.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction professionals.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers.
• Stay updated on advancements in bridge engineering technology and contribute to the implementation of innovative solutions.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering
• Typically requires 10+ years of structural engineering experience, bridge engineering is must!
• Previous supervisory and project management experience required
• Experience with DOT and municipal bridge design
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation and Revit; Microsoft Word and Excel required
• Technical experience with structural analysis and design software such as RAM Structual System, RISA-3D, Visual Analysis and EnerCalc preferred
• Professional Engineering License (P.E.) required; structural licensure is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to present technical content to non-technical audiences
