Software Engineer, Ads Measurement Signal and Privacy

Responsibilities

Our Ads Measurement Signal and Privacy team (MSP) is missioned to build our security and governance infrastructure and process for the ads system end-to-end while making sure our platform with large volume of various signals and data are constantly compliant with regional regulations across the world. The team will be responsible for exploring and implementing cutting-edge privacy-enhancing technologies to protect our users while keeping TikTok a free and creative community. You will be a key player in data privacy, protection, security and managing cross-functional programs to continuously improve the process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead projects committed to building and operating scalable and reliable ML-oriented data infrastructure systems.
2. Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members and project peers.
3. Communicate cross-functionally across various teams, organizations and internal and external stakeholders to drive engineering efforts.
4. Lead the innovation efforts, and bring in new ideas and technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant majors.
2. Excellent programming skills in C++/Golang, debugging and optimization skills in general purpose programming languages.
3. Ability to think critically and to formulate solutions to problems in a clear and concise way.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Good knowledge in one of the following areas: large-scale distributed system, backend service, machine learning, full stack.
2. Industry experience in one of the following domains: Search Infra, Ads Infra, Recommendation System, ML Infra.
3. Good collaboration skills working with cross-functional teams.

Job Information:

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $145000 - $250000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
