Position /Title: Chief Engineer
Paragon Services, located in Las Vegas, Nevada, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the Chief Engineer position to be assigned to a location in the Las Vegas area. The ideal candidate will possess well-rounded technical skills along with strong leadership skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Universal refrigerant handler’s license (EPA).
- Ability to pass drug screening and a background check prior to being hired.
- Reliable vehicle with current registration, proof of insurance, and valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Building Engineer in commercial real estate or condos.
Essential Responsibilities:
- HVAC troubleshooting and preventative maintenance (Heat Pump, WSHP, Fluid Cooler, Chiller, DX, EMS/BAS, etc.).
- Obtain and compare estimates for work to be performed by outside vendors to ensure proper competitive bidding processes.
- Electrical: Re-lamping, ballast replacement, and resetting breakers.
- Plumbing fixture repairs, drain maintenance, and restroom preventative maintenance.
- Adjust doors and closers, repair T-bar drop ceiling grid, and replace ceiling tiles.
- Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of the building's mechanical systems to ensure good working order.
- Conduct visual roof inspections and make minor repairs as needed.
- Maintain utility and storage rooms in a clean, neat appearance, ensuring materials are not stored improperly.
- Respond to assigned work orders from property management and perform general labor as assigned by the management team.
- Painting, exterior facade repairs, and general R&M.
- Lead a team of Building Engineers/Maintenance technicians through day-to-day operations.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5 years previous related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience/education. Trade certifications highly valued.

- Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Physical:
- This position will require the engineer to regularly sit, walk, bend, reach, touch, feel, handle, hear, and talk.
- The engineer will need to possess the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be comfortable working on ladders and rooftops.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
