We are hiring an Automation Engineer for Belgium with pharmaceutical experience. The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing, and implementing automated systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity. This role involves working closely with other engineering teams, managing automation projects, and ensuring the reliability and performance of automated systems.Responsibilities:Develop automation systems, including software, hardware, and control systems.Create detailed plans and specifications for automation projects.Develop and program PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), HMI (Human-Machine Interface), and other control systems.Plan, coordinate, and execute automation projects from concept to completion.Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automated systems.Conduct testing and commissioning of automated systems to ensure functionality and performance.Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the testing phase.Perform validation and verification of automated systems.Provide ongoing support and maintenance for automated systems.Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.Prepare detailed documentation for automation projects, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.Maintain accurate records of project progress, issues, and resolutions.Provide regular reports to management on project status and performance.Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency through automation.Stay updated on the latest automation technologies and industry trends.Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance automation systems.Ensure all automation systems comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures for automated processes.Participate in safety audits and inspections as required.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience with PLC, SCADA, HMI, and other automation systems.Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or relevant PLC languages.Proficient in using automation software and tools.In-depth knowledge of control systems, robotics, and industrial automation.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Relevant professional certifications (, Certified Automation Professional, Siemens PLC Certification) are preferred.About NRLThe NRL Group connect global engineering companies with the right people to bring their projects to life.
