About The Team

As an important part behind ByteDance, our team was established to help realize our company vision, building a global platform for creation and communication. We are doing the world-class work in machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, speech and audio, knowledge and data mining, and transferring our work into ByteDance which are used by hundreds of millions of users around the world. As a vital AI infrastructure for the company, our machine learning system integrates our most up-to-date R&D results in AI algorithms and systems. 1. Development of machine learning systems, including key computing development, task scheduling, and machine learning system management and operation;
2. Deployment of machine learning services;
3. Online serving of machine learning models;
4. Iterate and develop the system using customer-driven scenarios.

Qualifications

1. Master distributed, parallel computing principles; know the recent advances in computing, storage, networking, and hardware technologies;
2. Familiar with the state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and mainstream platforms (e.g., Tensorflow, Pytorch, MxNet);
3. Master at least one or two programming languages in Linux environment such as C/C++, Go, Python, etc;
4. Experience in GPU based high-performance computing is a plus.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $136800 - $280000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
