Senior Software Engineer – (API Development)

TNR (The Next Round) is a centralized system for firm-wide data management and is designed around core modules for Fund/Portfolio Accounting, General Ledger, Contact Management, Fund Raising, Deal Pipeline, Reporting and Investor Web Portal. As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in API Development, you will be part of a larger Product Development team consisting of Software Engineers, Business Analysts and Quality Assurance Specialists all working together to drive innovation across the platform.

What You Will Get To Do:

• Manage multiple APIs deployed in production and other lower environments with several consumers
• Research fundamental problems and implement appropriate algorithmic solutions
• Profile and analyze APIs developing suggestions and solutions to any performance or scalability issues
• Design new features (architecturally, not UI), implementing new features, fixing issues that are discovered in the existing code base, and doing code reviews
• Evolve architecture to continue to follow emerging best practices
• Assist with integrations where required
• Decompose functional requirements into well-defined tasks while balancing quality, quantity and complexity in work output

What You Will Bring:

• Expertise in HTTP Stack
• Excellent knowledge of OpenAPI, Swashbuckle and related services like SwaggerUI and OpenAPI generator
• Good working knowledge of tools including Fiddler and Postman
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Experience with different Authentication and Authorization schemes, including OIDC, NTLM, BASIC and Bearer Token
• Good working knowledge of building Integration Tests (Postman/Newman) and Unit Tests
• Experience working in both Full Framework and .Net Core Web API
• Experience working with MS SQL
• Experience working with Docker/Kubernetes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Reverse Proxies/Load Balancers
• Experience with Gateway Implementations like Ocelot
• Knowledge of other languages, specifically for review of OpenAPI generated clients (Java, Typescript, etc…)
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops
• Experience with Application Insights
• Experience with Redis
