Summary
Production Engineering at Pismo is a diverse, dedicated, and passionate team of engineers and leaders responsible for providing the core infrastructure for Pismo’s growing product platform across the globe. We are guided by best practices based on testing, continuous integration, automation, and reliability.
Working as part of a truly global organization, the Junior Platform Engineer is responsible for supporting Pismo's global production infrastructure and key teams across our Engineering and Client communities.
This is a technical and hands-on role with great potential for future progression as the team evolves - you will be actively involved with all aspects of the team, helping the squad to solve complex problems and harnessing your professional experience alongside your strong desire to learn and expand your horizons to put in place the foundations for future growth.
What you'll do
- Actively participate in supporting Pismo's global production infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines;
- Follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) within Production Engineering;
- Identify problems and address them, either on your own or as part of our global DevOps team;
- Propose, implement, and maintain standards and procedures;
- Experience working in a support capacity, either internal (user-facing) or external (customer-facing);
- Exposure to CI or CD systems (such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, Codefresh);
- Proactive attitude and driven desire to work problems to resolution;
- Basic knowledge of scripting/programming (ideally Python/ JavaScript/ GoLang);
- Desirable familiarisation with Kubernetes or microservices architecture;
- Desible experience supporting a production platform; working as part of a global team (i.e., interfacing with multiple timezones);
