Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is currently seeking a well experienced CEI Senior Project Engineer to support our local projects within the Tampa, FL region.RESPONSIBILITIES:Directing a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programPlanning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff membersDeveloping and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and proceduresReviewing programs for conformance with Department standardsSupports, oversees and coordinates engineering production activities for an operating unitMakes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritativeInitiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within the company and is skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issuesSupervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limitsDirecting a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programPlanning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff membersDeveloping and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and proceduresReviewing programs for conformance with Department standardsUnder minimal supervision, performs complex duties utilizing advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and methodsAssumes lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support staffQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or educationValid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records reviewDue to the projects associated with the position a US Citizenship is requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) Ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another statePreferred Requirements:Demonstrated understanding of project delivery requirements, creativity, foresight, working with a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals and deliver high quality technical excellenceDemonstrates mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual operations problems, determining operational objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities2 years of leadership experienceCommunicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)FDOT Advanced MOTCTQP Quality Control Manager (Attend and pass the examination)To be achieved by Project NTPSix years of engineering experienceTwo of those years involved in relevant transportation projectsMaster's Degree in EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) with the ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another stateAdditional InformationRelocation assistance is not available for this positionSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this positionOffered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
