We are seeking a Software Engineer Co-op to join the Imprivata Enterprise Access Management client development team. This team is responsible for the development of Imprivata's Enterprise Access Management client components, which provide Multifactor Authentication and Single Sign-On services for applications.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Windows application development, as well as a proven record of working on projects that fully utilize the facilities of the Windows OS. You will creatively leverage our own software and that of our partners to bring an efficient and secure application experience to clinicians and providers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop new features in the areas of security, authentication, single sign-on, and healthcare workflow enablement. Our agent is used by thousands of clinicians all over the world.
  2. Code and test client-side components in C++ that deliver our entire client experience.
  3. Code unit and automated tests that allow manual testing to focus on high-risk areas.
  4. Assist QA in qualifying new vendor releases, including APIs, to determine ongoing compatibility.
  5. Working in an agile team model, be responsible for analyzing possible solutions, scoping, planning, and delivering software.

Qualifications:

  1. School or personal software engineering experience designing and building applications.
  2. Intermediate C++ development and debugging skills.
  3. Nice to have experience with Visual C++, Windows, and/or Win32 APIs.
  4. Nice to have experience integrating third-party APIs or SDKs into an enterprise product.
  5. Proven design skills with the ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high expectations.
  6. Solid experience with the full software development life cycle and a proven track record in successfully bringing products to market.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact well with both internal teams and external customers and partners.
  8. Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science or a related degree.

This position offers a total compensation range of $28.00 to $30.00 per hour. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
