Your Way to Impact
As a Principal, you will collaborate closely with a dynamic team of designers, content designers, researchers, and full-stack engineers to bring innovative ideas from inception to execution.
Your Day to Day
- Partners with design, engineering, design systems and product management team members in the execution and delivery of PayPal’s products and services.
- Contributes to the planning and estimating work and participates in broader work stream coordination and expectation setting.
- Creates high-quality deliverables and executes based on product design goals and priorities.
- Leverages and extends the use of established product design techniques and assets.
- Contributes to the adaptation of PayPal product design tools and proposes new solutions.
- Creates opportunities to foster collaborative cross-discipline dynamics.
- May lead one or more individuals in experience and design initiatives.
- Rapidly prototype new user experiences.
- Iterate quickly to turn ideas into testable concepts.
- Work closely with your team, prioritizing beauty and usability.
- Craft solutions focused on the end-user's needs and experiences.
- Find innovative ways to integrate design and engineering.
What You Need to Bring
- 10+ years of experience within UX or Product Design.
- Portfolio submission is required for consideration.
- Experience in design (layout, typography, color, Figma).
- Experience with motion and storytelling.
- Ability to work on multiple projects from concept to launch.
- Commitment to creating user-centric designs prioritizing usability and accessibility.
- Relentless drive for perfection.
- Enjoy collaborating in a team-focused environment.
- A BA/BS or Master’s Degree in design, user experience, research or related field is preferred.

Actual Compensation is based on various factors including work location, and relevant skills and experience.
The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $120300 to $287100.
For the majority of employees, PayPal's balanced hybrid work model offers 3 days in the office for effective in-person collaboration and 2 days at your choice of either the PayPal office or your home workspace.
