Software QA Engineer

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a QA Engineer with experience in custom software. The project includes business-facing and consumer-facing web apps and mobile apps. This is a full-time position. Candidates must be available to collaborate during US team business hours.

Job Duties

1. Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
2. Test case creation and execution.
3. Document software defects using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
4. Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
5. Automated testing is a plus but not required.
6. Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
7. Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
8. Understand business process flow and architectural diagrams.
9. Create business requirement documents which include organizing them into epics, user stories, and business scenarios.

Requirements

1. Must be able to speak and write fluent English. Your first interview will be a video call via Zoom.
2. Must be able to work EDT business hours. 8:00am - 5:00pm New York time.
3. Ability to meet deadlines.
4. Good communication and collaboration skills.
5. Independent and self-organized.
6. Experience in Agile and Scrum.

Experience

3 - 5 years of Sr QA engineer for software applications with client-facing experience on documentation.
